Brochure 7 Wonders Art !

In our class we are doing seven Wonders here is one of our activities which is a Brochure .
The Top is the Front of the Brochure and The Bottom is The Back .

Holes Activity ( Nicknames)

A couple weeks ago we did our second activity for our Reading Book/Holes the Name of Our Activity was Nicknames Here is on how I did my activity.

Nicknames Chapter 4-5 

Monday 2nd September 2019 

As he watched the boy turn and walk away, he couldn’t for the life of him figure out why anyone would want to be called Armpit.”  (P.20)

Why do you think that all the boys insist on being called by their nicknames?

I think the boys liked to be called their nicknames instead of their real names because it is the names that represent on who their are  and what their personalities are like, and because they rather like their nicknames that birth is given names.

What do your think that Stanley’s nickname will be? Why?

If Stanley were to have a nickname it would be clueless because he is stuck in a dessert like area where he dosen’t know what to do or what to say which is why I would call him clueless.

If your were an inmate a Camp Green Lake, do you think that you’d like to be called by a different name? What nickname do you think would suit you?

I wouldn’t want to be called by a different name because I can get confused by the nickname I was given, If I were to have a  nickname it would be Vsco because I would bring scrunchies and polaroid to the camp.

Technology Robotics

In Technology we have moved to our new and last class for the term/year for this term and next we have robotics for our first class we were given an activity to do which was a fun little coding game the aim of the game was to use different codes to complete the level there were 20 levels total, here is my slide to that I used to keep track on what levels I have done.

Bus - Stop Writing Warm up

In our class sometimes have a warm up before we start the lesson one of the warm ups we do is called bus - stop how you play is you get given different categories and you get given a letter and you have to be the fastest person to finish the table the way to finish is type down all the different things in the categories only starting with that letter you say bus-stop once done. 

Pacific Islands Presentations

Last term when did a presentation on the pacific islands we were told to choose a video or two and learn and research about it and make a presentation out of it here was Mafi's, Tee's and I presentation on What Pacific Islanders what you to know.

  

Birthday Task Card! (Holes Activity)

For Reading We Have been Reading the Book Holes!, we got given a task to choose a reading task card from the list and do the Activity, My Activity was Reading Task 74 which was to make a Birthday Card for one of the characters in the book, here is my birthday card I have made for Stanley yelnats in the book holes.

Technology Wood! (The Process)

In Wood Class at Technology we got given a task

to post on our blog the process of our chosen wood piece we

are wanting to make

The Process

Step 1: I used a ruler,Pencil and A Piece of Wood to make a full size working drawing of my Piano  because I know on how the measurements are going to be on my wood work.

Step 2: I used a Pencil and Ruler to copy the measurements from my drawing onto the Piece of wood.

Step 3: I marked a square line (at 90°) across and using a Tri-Square 

Step 4: I cut off the first Piece of wood using a Backed saw 

Step 5: I then marked out the Joint using The piece of wood I Cut off , Pencil , Tri-Square and A Marking Gauge 

Step 6: I Then used a Backed saw to slowly saw the marked lines on the joint.

Step 7: I used a Chisel, Mallet and a Vice  to take out the wood of the of the sawed joint

Step 8: I Soften the uneven and rough joints using Sandpaper and A Machine 

Step 9: I Glue the separate and soften parts together and wait 30 minutes

Step 10: After it has Dried I then  I Glue Back of the Piano on, wait for it to dry.

Step 11: I Then Draw the keyboard outlines on to the piano with a ruler,tri-square and square

Step 12:  Once I have drew on my keyboard outlines with a pencil and ruler I then build the lid for my piano

Step 13: After it has been built I glue the pieces the (lid and the piece of wood for the bottom of the wood) together.

Step 14: After twenty-minutes for the top to dry The I glue on the nob of the lid on

  

Step 15:  I Then make out an area at the bottom of my piano for the feet of my piano

Step 16:  Once applying the feet of the piano I make a stand for the mid part of my piano for the mini music book can stand on

Step 17:  I then wait for the wood pieces that have been glued on to dry 

Step 18: After the pieces have dried I then outline the penciled keyboard and go over with a fine tip black permanent marker

Step 19: For Decoration I make a mini music book for the stand to make it more like a piano  

Step 20: I make it look nice and presentable

1. How Well did I do in completing all of the things that I needed for this Project

2. My Design Ideas

I did six Design Ideas The Ideas I did went Well but I only wanted to Do one.

Piano, Pencil Rack, Box, Chest Of Drawers, Candle Holder and a M&M Dispenser 

3.  The Final Choice?

The choice I made was a Piano I was a good for me to do for Decoration and Storage 

4. The Working Drawing

My Plan for The working Drawing went well It gave me all the right measurements and ways I would want My Piano to look like

5. The Marking Out 

My First time marking out I it came out good with using the ruler and tri-square

6. The Sawing 

When I First Started sawing my wood I Thought it was going well my hand did feel sore afterwards but it worked out fine.
7. The Chiseling?
When I Started Chiseling I did not feel comfortable using it at first it didn't specifically end up smooth at the end but during the process It went okay.
8. The Assembly
Putting it together started to get me confused but now It is looking good knowing that I learned more new things during the process 
9. Looking At what you produced
I have produced a Piano
10. Does It work?
My piano works and is strong if it were to fall on something the upper part open and closes very well
11. Does It Look Good?
The End Product Looks better than I thought it might turn out.
12. Is there anything that you would like to change?
I would like to add decorations to the product to make it more interesting and more like a piano
13. Is there anything else you wish to say about it?
There is Nothing I would like to add on to what I have Said.
