Artist Studies !

 This week for LCS our focus is all about our art exhibition that is coming up. Our task was to choose an artist that we can connect with from our culture, the artist Jayde and I chose is a tongan fashion brand Kanumez this is a family buisness that consist of two sisters and their mother. Here is our google presentation of our research for these amazing artist.

The power of The Coconut

This week is Samoan Language Week , this task for us to do today is called the Power of the Coconut , The class had to watch the music video from the Moana movie " Where we are " and point out the messages that tell the importance of the coconut . We then had to create a copy of a google drawing and had to identify the parts of the coconut and provide what it is used for and a Image . Here is my Power of The Coconut Work .

Cartoonify Ourselves

Our Activity for this morning was to cartoon a photo of ourselves on google drawing . We had to watch the tutorial of how to use the polyline tool , this task was quite diffcult to do but I was able to do it . It is not the best but here is my Cartoon task for today .

This Activity we had to figure out the answer for the given riddles relating to common househould items , Some riddles were quite tricky to figure out but it was fun in the end of it . Here is my Ridlles Task for Today .

Connections - Culture Dishes

Our Learn , Create , Share Task today for our focus connections was a continution of our food delicasies . For this task we had to Create a Venn Diagram to highlight the differences & similarities between your cultural dishes & the other cultural dishes you selected on Tuesday. Today For listen to Readin I chose to watch on Coconet Tv , The Tongan Ta'ovala this was all about the tradtional mat called the Ta'ovala . Here is my Listen to Reading For Today it was very funny and intresting to learn from .

Tamariki Talks Task

Our Tamariki Talks Task for today was to choose two challenges from the selection and complete it by filming yourself . The challenge I chose to do was called the Paper & scissors challenge where we had a paper & scissors and we to create a ring for us to go fully around our body like a hula hoop without it ripping or tearing apart . History of the Pacific Hair

This Listen to Reading I chose to watch today is a video all about History of the Hair Pacific . This video I watched talked about how much importance the Pacific Hair has and how much Stories it hold that get passed from generation to generation . Here is my Listen to Reading Task For today .

For Today in writing for Daily 5 I chose to do a Color poem and I did it on the beautiful colour Purple . This Color poem was based of the 5 senses , Feel , Taste , Smell , See and Sound . This is my Writing Poem for Today Enjoy (: . 

The Legend Of the Cannibal King

Today's Listen to Reading I chose to do watch the Legend of the Cannibal King on Coconet Tv , This video explains how canniblisim was a thing back in the islands , Where King Malietoa had families sacrifice they're loved ones for his daily supper . His Son never agreed with having people getting eaten so the King's Son stood up for his people and asked to be wrapped for his father's food , to let him know it's not good to eat people . The Son became a saviour for everyone and cannibalisim was then banned in the Islands . 

Mexican Delicasies

Our Task in Learn , Create , Share we had to Choose a country of your choice, research the top 7-10 favourite traditional delicasies/dishes from there. Create a similar poster as you did yesterday with your own cultural food. Today I chose to look at Mexican well known Delicasies . Here is my LCS for Today.

Our Focus for this Term in LCS is Connections and for our task today in Learn , Create , Share , was to create a poster about your cultural delicacies. Choose the most popular food from your culture . We also had to Include images and brief descriptions of the Dishes and what they Include . I have Done a mix of my Tongan Culture and Italian Culture , here is my Work for Today .

Today's Reading Task we were given two videos to watch from Coconet Tv one video was called Legend of Telesa and 'Aho 'eitu . When then had to answer the following questions after the video . The videos were interesting to listen and watch it taught me a lot about the polynesian cultures Tongan and Samoan . Here is my Reading Tasks for Today .

Writing Task

Our Task for writing Today was to , have a look at the image and complete the questions in 3-4 sentences relating to the image that was given .
