Maori Calendar !
Our focus for this week is Matariki, The Maori New year is starting up this month and Matariki is an important celebration in New Zealand, One of our Tasks was to create a table to write down the Maori Calendar each Month of the Year and what are the names. Mummification Process
For the past two weeks our focus was Ancient Eygpt, one of our Tasks was to read about the Process of Mummification and we had to highlight the steps of Mummification on the paper then we had to rewrite the steps on a google doc here is the seven steps of Mummification .

Connections Task !
Another of Our Connections Task for last week was finding the information on why Maraes are important in Aotearoa (New zealand ) we had to list down 10 or more reasons why Marae are important . I included some rules in the Marae and some facts . Here is my work for Connections

Venn Diagram
One of Our Connections Task last week was a venn Diagram about an a Egyptian Funeral and your culture's funeral . We had to write what happens at an Egyptian Funeral and for example what happens at a Tongan Funeral like the Traditions at the funeral . Then we had to list in the middle the similarites that both funerals have.

On Tuesday for Samoan Language Week Room 12 Made Koko Alaisa for the 3 senior Classes to enjoy . One of Our Activities for this was to watch the video given on how to make Koko Alaisa then we had to create a Google drawing on the recipe for Koko Alaisa . Samoan Language Week
Typical Dinner
For Samoan Language Week on Thursday a Samoan Umu was made for the Whole School , it was an amazing exprience to see how they do it in they're culture . After the Learning Process our extra follow up Connections Task was to explain what is a Typical Dinner in our Household that is cooked occasionly or for Special events and we then had to write the recipe for one of the Dinners . Here is my Work for this Activity .
Typical Dessert
Last week was Samoan Language Week and Room 13 made Pani popo , after completing the activities about the learning of Pani popo . We had a connection task for us to do based on what is a Typical Dessert we have baked at home or brought . It could be a Traditional dessert or any Dessert made at home . A dessert made at my house most of the time is Cinnamon Buns .
